Your walk begins in the refreshing atmosphere of the old port. Strolling along the quay, you can reach the site of the rock, a place full of history. The founders of the city decided to settle here when they saw this rock and granite site. They were right to do so! Today, the site offers an unobstructed view of the Vilaine river, its bridges and its pretty marina.
And these two imposing cannons? They come from the vessel Le Juste, hit and sunk during the Battle of the Cardinals in 1759. At sunset, you can sit on the rock and contemplate the Vilaine and its surroundings in the twilight.
